As one of the co-founders and governing board member of Four Points Preparatory Academy, a new charter school here in Jackson county, Georgia, I am over the top excited to share that after three long years of hard work, lots of sleepless nights, meetings, interviews, and lots of planning, we are officially opening our amazing school this fall, and we will be serving multiple counties. We will start by offering grades K-5 and offer one grade per year until we reach K-8 status.
This vision for our school originated with our mayor. There was an abandoned school building in our downtown area that he thought would be an awesome unified addition to our town. Back in October 2024, we held our ceremonial construction kickoff event as renovations began on the building.

I am so proud and excited about our new school. One of the things that excites me the most is establishing our music program. We are taking advantage of the summer break to come up with a good music curriculum; engage parents and students; and of course, advocacy by communicating the value of a good music education program to the wider community and encouraging support for our program.
As we journey through this process, I will most definitely keep you posted.
